Launch Housing is an independent Melbourne based community organisation with an ambitious and singular mission - to end homelessness. Launch Housing is driven by its values of Empowerment, Fresh Thinking, Agility, Leadership and Courage.

Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) teams are the main access point for clients experiencing or at risk of homelessness throughout Victoria. IAP helps people prevent and end homelessness by providing accommodation assistance, advice and referrals for additional support.

The Coordinator -Initial Planning and Assessment (IAP) is responsible for providing effective leadership to the team, a number of whom are co-located within other agencies, to ensure that Launch Housing's assessment, planning, prioritization, intake and referral services are effective, consistent and of a high-quality.

The successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in human services or social work with demonstrated program or service coordination experience within the community and/or public sectors. They will have a demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems, a collaborative way of working, leadership ability including coordinating staff who work with people with complex needs and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The Coordinator - IAP North is an integral part of the Getting Housing endeavor at Launch Housing and works closely with the other Coordinator - IAP North, the Northern Entry Points Manager, and the Manager - Entry Points to ensure a consistent and high-quality IAP service.
