Launch Housing has an ambitious and singular mission to end homelessness. We aim to get people housed, keep them housed, and be an influential voice on ending homelessness. Formed in 2015 following a merger of two well-respected agencies - Hanover Welfare Services and HomeGround Services, we are a secular, independent provider of choice for clients and the ‘go to' organisation on homelessness for government, media, philanthropy, private donors and the community.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic person to join our Daily Support Team at our City of Melbourne Council site in the role of a Library Social Worker. Working across the six branches that constitute City of Melbourne Libraries, the social worker supports frontline library staff in understanding and responding to homelessness and working with people who have multiple and complex needs. This role contributes to the City of Melbourne's commitment to provide a welcoming and safe library service and is responsible for maintaining a number of stakeholder relationships, across the City of Melbourne and with key external stakeholders.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills, excellent problem solving skills and a well-demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policies and systems. The candidate must also hold a Social work Qualification and be eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
