About us

Launch Housing is a secular Melbourne-based community organisation that provides homelessness services and life-changing housing supports to disadvantages Victorians. With over 400 staff working across 13 locations, we want to end homelessness and are committed to creating lasting societal change to help those most in need in our community. In a country as wealthy as ours no one should be homeless.

About the role

Reporting to the Program Manager - Assertive Outreach, you will have a dual focus across both the Melbourne Service Coordination and the Stonnington Zero Projects. These projects are built around the operation of effective service coordination focused on a By-Name List of persons known by local health & homelessness services to be experiencing rough sleeping homelessness in each LGA.

You will provide oversight of services to individuals identified through the Melbourne Service Coordination Project and will develop the system coordination capabilities of the Stonnington Zero Project.

You will work closely with Melbourne Service Coordination partners to identify and prioritize people experiencing chronic homelessness who require in-depth assessments that current service system efforts have been unable to secure, and further assist the Project Implementation Group to establish a Service Coordination Group with the objective of ending rough sleeping homelessness in Stonnington.

For further information on the role please refer to the position description.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and experience in human services, social work or other relevant discipline
  • Significant experience as a practitioner in homelessness or related services (ie., mental and primary health)
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary housing and homelessness policy, context and systems
  • Excellent people skills, including a demonstrated capacity to work positively with a range of diverse stakeholders, and contribute to a program of continuous improvement
  • Superior organisational skills and demonstrated experience in the collation & analysis of data.

Culture & Benefits

We believe housing is a basic human right and our values of empowerment, fresh thinking, agility, leadership and courage underpin everything we do. If you want a career where you can make a real difference, and you are passionate about our mission to end homelessness, then consider working with Launch Housing! Our employees are spread across 14 different sites within metropolitan Melbourne.

In return we offer great staff benefits including:

  • Meaningful work that offers competitive salary
